Unknown artist — Photographs (extracts from a recovered film)
"I only had a few seconds. I ran. I think I saw… I believe I did. I took these pictures without aiming, without thinking. I just wanted them to know." — note scribbled on the back of one of the images
Composed of two blurred and incandescent shots, this piece seems to document a precipitated escape through a burning forest. The first, taken in motion, shows a landscape ravaged by fire, with a disturbing silhouette - half-human, half-animal - emerging from the fire.
The second, turned towards a sky saturated with ash, reveals a chilling detail: in the centre, a human form hangs from a charred tree, suspended by the arms - abandoned or highlighted. There is no clue to identify this person, nor to know the fate that led him there.
